The subtle beauty of nature is easy to overlook in our fast-paced society.  Distractions, noise, duties and all around busy-ness of life all contribute to our increasing alienation from nature, which inevitably leads to alienation from ourselves since we are creatures of nature.

As you move about your day, do you revel in the budding colors of Spring or passionate colors of Fall?  Do you embrace the quiet after the storm?  Do you dwell in appreciation for the beauty and give thanks for being part of it all?  For we ARE part of it all.  As creatures of nature, we are as connected to it as our hand is with our arm.  And without the arm, the hand can't function as it was designed.

It only takes a brief slowing down – just enough to begin to notice.  That beginning can shift your awareness of your surroundings and completely change your relationship with the world around you.  Once you make the choice to slow down and notice these things, it will absolutely and wonderfully change your life.

Our unique approach to nature photography was developed specifically to engage the viewer's eye in a visually arresting way.  Starting with intimate portraits of flowers and plants that take you in so close that you can see startling detail, we then specifically choose separate parts of the single image to either bring forward for closer attention, or to recede further back.  The visual effect forces the eye to see this portrait of nature in an entirely new way. We apply this technique to add a layer of depth to our images and provide a level of uniqueness that can only be found at Montages by Nature. Read more about that here.
